Advertising routes are Sundays late morning, Mondays in the evening, and Thursdays in the evening. You must be able to work at least one of those times every week. Applicants must be available for balloon deliveries any day of the week, before or between classes. All balloon deliveries are scheduled on an "as available" basis; we work around your class schedule and other commitments. We try to accommodate all deliveries on weekdays, but occasionally there are orders so large that we have to inflate them on weekends. If you have a latex allergy, this is not a safe job for you. Also required are: thoroughness; willingness to cooperate on unexpected tasks; flexibility and problem solving skills; occasional availability for unusual delivery hours; availability regardless of inclement weather. A valid driver license, knowledge of Michigan traffic laws (whether licensed in Michigan or not), and excellent driving record are required. Commercial driving experience is a plus. Student employees of the Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) and Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) must complete the Clery Act Training and Responsible Employee Training courses. Implications of this can be discussed during the interview process. UU Required Trainings: UU New Employee Kick-Off; DEI Basics 1 & 2; Responsible Employee/ Sexual Misconduct; Run, Hide, Fight. Your individual position may require additional trainings that are job specific. TO REQUEST AN INTERVIEW, fill out the application on the student employment website or email your resume to mdpreiss@umich.edu. |
