Job Description

The Leiser lab investigates the basic biology of aging.  We are looking for at least 2 motivated undergraduate student to work as student lab helpers ASAP.

Job Description:  Duties will include maintaining laboratory stocks, pouring plates, making solutions, and invertebrate husbandry.

The job opening is open immediately.

Opportunities for undergraduate research will be possible in the future for individuals that remain in the lab.

Job Requirements:

The successful applicant will show enthusiasm for research, be reliable, and have a willingness to learn new things. Training will be provided. First and Second years are preferred but not required.

Hours: 6-20 hours/week during the school year. More hours/week in spring/summer

Educational Value

This position will provide a basic introduction to the inner-workings of a laboratory in the basic sciences. It will provide an understanding of experimental procedures and techniques in order to provide the materials necessary, and will offer the opportunity for advancement into research positions over time for those who excel and desire it.

Job Requirements

Freshmen and sophomores preferred, extensive lab experience not required. Must be reliable and able to dedicate 6-20 hours per week during the school year. More hours are available during the spring/summer. Work study strongly preferred.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
