Community Action Network's Food Program Assistant Position. Food Distribution Program Assistants are imperative to the success of our food security work at the Bryant Community Center, which is open to anyone in Washtenaw County. Essential job duties: - Unload deliveries and check food for quality
- Organize food to prepare for distribution
- Distribute items to families as needed
- Help maintain an inventory of pantry items
- Utilize excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment where community members feel welcome and safe
- Communicate food pantry expectations with clients
- Input, record, and maintain client records in online databases as needed (i.e. Salesforce, Link2Feed)
- Assist with and take initiative in the general upkeep of the pantry area. This can include breaking down boxes, sweeping, mopping, cleaning shelves, refrigerators, and freezers, and the overall general clean-up of distribution and pantry areas
Program Assistants must be available at least two of the following time slots: Mondays: 9:00 am - Noon Tuesday: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Wednesday: 9:00 am - Noon Thursday: 9:00 am - Noon Friday 9:30 am - 2:00 pm |
