Job Description

Job Summary: Under the direction of the PI/Faculty Members in the Landscapes of Population Health program at the Institute for Social Research, the student will conduct literature reviews on aspects of the social environment (e.g., social isolation, social cohesion, residential segregation, work context, etc) in relation to cognitive aging. In addition to literature reviews, the student will assist faculty in identifying and curating data sources and creating measurement guidance documents. 

Educational Value

Student will have the opportunity to assist with the research process, learning how social constructs are developed and measures are created for research. 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: At least three courses in appropriate social sciences (e.g., sociology, ethnic studies). Research assistant experience, literature review experience, attention to detail, dependable, evidence of strong writing skills

 

Desired qualifications: Sociology major or minor and one of the following -- interest in population health or experience with survey of administrative data. 

Hourly Rate $17.50/hour to $20.50/hour
