Job Description

International Forestry Resources and Institutions (IFRI) network and the Forests and Livelihoods: Assessment, Research, and Engagement (FLARE) network are seeking two part-time research assistants. The assistants will be review literature on energy consumption and social-ecological impacts in developing countries, and assist with the preparation of a related proposal and review paper. We expect the student to work between ten to fifteen hours per week (at $14.00/hour) throughout Fall Semester 2017, with several key deadlines therein. Continued employment in Winter Semester 2018 may be possible, contingent upon successful fulfillment of all work duties.

Educational Value

Develop and strengthen literature review and writing skills. Become familiar with literature on clean energy and poverty

Job Requirements

Knowledge of University of Michigan library system

Ability to collaborate with researchers and fellow students in order to discuss findings, write review, and contribute to proposal development 

Bachelors degree with one year relevant experience preferred.

Hourly Rate $14.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
