Job Description

The Lee laboratory is focused on studying the biology of pancreatic cancer and its tumor microenvironment with particular interest in hypoxia and immune cells. 
 
Students are sought to assist with three important areas of our work:
(1) General lab maintenance (including washing/autoclaving lab equipment/supplies and preparing for experiment solutions)
(2) Mouse colony maintenance (including euthanizing mice)
(3) DNA isolation/genotyping PCR

 

Educational Value

Once trained, students will be able to assist in experiments. Students will learn basic molecular biology techniques and general lab culture.

Job Requirements

(1) Must be willing to work with mice. 
(2) Reliability and organization skills are key for the position. The student will be expected to work as a team, under the direct guidance of the laboratory’s trainees, with supervision by the principal investigator. 
(3) A freshman is preferred.
(4) Availability to work during summer terms is preferred

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
