- Must have passed at least 3 credits of astronomy here at UM, or an equivalent university-level course.
- Must NOT be currently enrolled in Astro 101, 102, or 201
- People with previous experience with small telescopes or trained on the 0.4-m DFM are preferred.
- Must be willing to work outside and after dark.
Observing nights are scheduled for the first clear Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday each week and are cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Times vary depending on sunset. Clear evenings are usually 2 - 2.5 hours: 1.5 hours of observing plus time for set up and shut down. Set up begins at 8 early in the semester, 7 PM later in the semester.
