The Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center (MHWFAC) is looking for a temporary research laboratory
assistent to work 10-30 hours/week. Candidate will obtain basic understanding of the operations of a research lab and the importance of proper organization of materials and cleanliness required for experiments. This job involves cleaning, wrapping, labeling and sterilizing glassware and other fragile lab equipment for biological and chemical labs; clean table, sinks, benches, receive and distribute samples of materials. Fill reagent bottles; operate gas, steam, and heat sterilizing equipment; dispose of refuse. Job also involves some data entry and ordering and maintaining of supplies along with other duties as assigned. As the candidate gains experience, (s)he will be able to learn culture of primary cells or cell lines, immunostaining, PCR Western blotting, and ELISA, etc. |
