Job Description

Applicant will be reporting to a member of the DAAS administrative team; this position consists of assisting the staff with day to day operations: copying, telephone answering and routing, occasional courier services (on campus), servicing the ADP equipment, being present to ensure space integrity, and performing other related duties as assigned which can include but is not limited to the following: program advertisement, some event support and execution, and some committee facilitation. This is a 5 to 15 hour a week appointment ($15.00 per hour) for the 2026 Fall Term starting on August 31, 2026 with variable hours in the term to facilitate primarily on-site work. Some flexibility in scheduling is desired.

Educational Value

This position offers an opportunity to develop a variety of office support skills and utilize a variety of computer programs.  Student will gain valuable office experience, learn how to develop professional relationships, and learn how to respond proactively in a dynamic service support environment.  Finally, the selected candidate(s) will gain experience and refine highly desired employment skills such as punctuality, accountability, and responsibility.

  • Some experience working in an administrative position
  • Possess the ability to take initiative and work independently

  • Have strong planning and organizational skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Some familiarity with UM policies and procedures is desired.
Hourly Rate $15.00/hour to $16.00/hour
