Job Description

This is a position that offers a wide range of clinical and clerical opportunities in a variety of ophthalmic specialties within the Kellogg Eye Center.  These clinical opportunities range from but are not limited to: grow our ophthalmic virtual care programs, optimize new patient access and patient engagement, initiate service recovery within our optical shop, and/or act as a service ambassador for patient experience on outbound calls.  All of these can provide an opportunity to work within a specific clinic or for the ophthalmic service line as a whole.  You will be directly partnering with clinic operations leaders within the Kellogg Eye Center.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is the academic home for over 100 faculty and nearly 200 staff who are passionate about improving lives through curing, preventing, and treating eye disease. The Kellogg Eye Center, employing another 300 staff, is the flagship clinical site for a network for eye care clinics that annually provide greater than 200,000 outpatient visits and 8,000 surgeries. Together, the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Kellogg Eye Center represents the highest quality in patient care, innovative research, and robust training for all learners in ophthalmology and visual sciences.  This work has earned the Department a consistent top ten ranking from the U.S. World News and Reports consistently year in and year out within ophthalmic specialties across the country.  The Department and Kellogg Eye Center as entities of the larger academic medical center, have significant interactions across all components of Michigan Medicine to integrate and advance all missions including clinical, research, and education. Job Requirements
  • Needs to be able to commute to the Kellogg Eye Center (in Ann Arbor) on a daily basis
  • Needs to be a currently enrolled student at the University of Michigan

  • Past clinical experience preferred

 

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
