Responsibilities:
Checking customers in/Intake
Assisting customers through the retail, personal items, and cookware sections
Stocking and maintaining inventory of service area
Light preparation and packaging of fresh foods
Provide information on products, recipes, and nutritional information
Provide appropriate referrals to programs and departments
Assist with recipe and wellness demonstrations
Ensuring a high standard of food safety
Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment with superior customer service
Required Qualifications:
Experience, or interest, working in food insecurity and access, food distribution and related programs
Ability to work with diverse range of people of various social, cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds
Experience in Customer Service
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in food distribution, rescue, or case management
Previous experience in non-profit work
Cooking knowledge and experience with kitchen work
Demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals in need, organization, teamwork, good communication skills, resilience and empathy
