Responsibilities:

• Checking customers in/Intake

• Assisting customers through the retail, personal items, and cookware sections

• Stocking and maintaining inventory of service area

• Light preparation and packaging of fresh foods

• Provide information on products, recipes, and nutritional information

• Provide appropriate referrals to programs and departments

• Assist with recipe and wellness demonstrations

• Ensuring a high standard of food safety 

• Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment with superior customer service

Required Qualifications:

• Experience, or interest, working in food insecurity and access, food distribution and related programs

• Ability to work with diverse range of people of various social, cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds

• Experience in Customer Service

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in food distribution, rescue, or case management

• Previous experience in non-profit work

• Cooking knowledge and experience with kitchen work

• Demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals in need, organization, teamwork, good communication skills, resilience and empathy 

• Must be a registered university student 

• Must be able to legally work in the United States. 

• Some general office experience is preferred.
