Job Description

Student Life Technology Solutions (SLTS) seeks an organized, responsible, friendly, and approachable individual to support daily office operations. Responsibilities include managing office and kitchen inventory, processing mail and packages, coordinating vehicle upkeep, routing TeamDynamix (TDX) tickets, scheduling appointments, answering phones, monitoring and responding to email, updating digital signage, conducting product research, and completing other daily administrative tasks.

Educational Value

Staff will gain greater knowledge of Google Calendar and TeamDynamix (TDX). Gain greater interpersonal skills. They will also have phone interactions with vendors from outside the university, as well as ITS from inside the university.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements for this position include: 1) availability to work a minimum of 10-20 hours a week for Fall/Winter Semesters (available time needs to be in 3-4 hour blocks); experience with the following: 2) Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications [professional or educational experience considered]; 3) Google calendaring to collaborate, keep track of events, attendees and locations; 4) experience greeting and routing customers visiting an office; 5) retrieving and processing mail and packages from a central building location; 6) ability to conduct research for various topics in technology, education, student life, digital literacy, etc.; 7) ability to use current technology, update digital signage by adding/removing content, manage the posting schedule, and respond to online submissions; 8) processing TeamDynamix tickets

 

Desired qualifications: inventorying and replacing office supplies; knowledge of intranets and experience writing HTML; posting room reservations; completing "other duties as assigned" and being amenable to doing work outside of this very narrow description [i.e. willing to pitch in and help with any office effort].
