Student Organization Accounts Service (SOAS) Financial Representative

Members of the student staff directly engage with both student organization leadership and UM departments. SOAS student staff educate and advise on SOAS and University policies along with guidance on best practices. Responsibilities range from performing standard daily tasks to solving unique problems as they occur. Accurate and detailed communication, internally and externally, is essential to successfully complete all student staff responsibilities.

Student staff utilizes the SOAS email and Google Suite to manage various aspects of student organizations’ financial activity.  SOAS team members work daily with student leaders to confirm Authorized Signers, manage deficit accounts, and provide guidance on SOAS processes. Our staff works with numerous UM departments to place holds on accounts, check balances, investigate transactions, and assist with unique issues.
