Job Description

This is a job for undergraduates interested in law and civil rights, beginning in Fall 2025 and continuing into subsequent semesters. The Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse (http://clearinghouse.net) is a web-based repository of information and documents relating to civil rights cases in many categories. This job involves various data entry/coding/quality-assurance/document retrieval type tasks for the Clearinghouse.  For example, tasks include obtaining dockets from court websites or linking Clearinghouse cases to external resources of various types. Students will need to commit to sticking with the project for at least two semesters -- ideally, we hire students who stay with the project over a period of two or even three academic years. We offer the possibility of part-time, and sometimes full-time, summer work. The job is mostly remote, but there is one required weekly in-person meeting. Students are expected to work 10 hours per week, on a flexible schedule. Work study is preferred but not required.
