Job Description

Event Assistant Needed!

 

The Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery and Engineering (MICDE) in the Office of the Vice President for Research is the focal point for the wide spectrum of research in computational science and engineering at the University of Michigan.

 

MICDE is seeking highly motivated students to assist at the SciFM25 Conference on Wednesday, May 28, Thursday, May 29, and Friday, May 30, 2025, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm each day. You need to be available for at least a 4-hour block at a time!

 

Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided. 

 

The duties for this position include assisting with:

  • Event setup and takedown
  • Symposium registration
  • Assist conference attendants (finding sessions, restrooms, etc.)

Salary: $15/hr.

Schedule: May 28-30, 2025, between 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (min. 4 hrs. required)

Location: Rackham Building, 915. E Washington St, Ann Arbor

Job Requirements

Prior event planning and coordination experience is an advantage but not required.
