Job Description

We are looking for students to help with a research project on the role of workplace stress on sleep difficulties and other health outcomes. This project involves survey and biomarker data collection from study participants. We need assistance in such data collection activities as the recruitment of participants (e.g., examining screening surveys), collecting data from participants in a social stress test, assisting participants in how to use their biomonitors, and meeting participants at MLabs to have their blood drawn. Students will work as part of a research team, meeting weekly with the study coordinators, faculty, and other students to work through all of the tasks.

Educational Value

Students will be part of the study team and see how data collection is conducted and the decisions that are made to produce high quality social and biomedical data.

Job Requirements

Most of the skills, such as use of the biomonitors, administering the social stress test, etc, can be taught by the study staff. However, successful applicants must have a high degree of dependability and attention to detail, as we will be working with study participants. This position requires that the student work in person most days; a hybrid schedule is possible, but with the vast majority of work in person. This position requires weekend work in person.
