Successful candidates will be outgoing, energetic, organized, and dependable individuals with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Required qualifications include: Excellent written and spoken communication skills Attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a dynamic environment Comfort using basic computer software and web platforms, such as Google Suite programs and Microsoft Office Familiarity with Slack and social media such as Instagram and LinkedIn
Desired qualifications: Event planning experience International/intercultural experience, familiarity with other languages and cultures, and/or speaking a second or third language
To be considered, candidates must be available to work in-person on U-M Ann Arbor’s Central Campus: June 22 - July 2: Pre-program planning (6-8 hours/week) July 6 - August 12: Program runs (8-10 hours/week) Most work will take place M-F 9am-5pm, with one or two evenings required. Program events take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, and Fridays for the duration of the program. There is a possibility that the students hired for this position might continue as a Student Staff member in the ELI during the next academic year.
