Attn CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENTS:  This position is for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Department and will involve a variety of potential responsibilities including providing drafting services by preparing construction drawings using Microstation CAD software and/or AutoCAD software, gathering field data, assisting engineers and/or architects preparing specifications, finding, printing and reviewing applicable drawings and other data in preparation for developing construction documents, studies and reports. Candidates may help create conceptual and detailed designs, generate calculations and drawings to support designs, and complete other assignments designed to develop professional experience.  Candidates will also need to learn and apply standard engineering and architecture practices and techniques in specific situations, prioritize between multiple project assignments and communicate with coworkers as needed or requested. Students may work 40 hrs/wk during summer months if they are on break and not enrolled in any classes.  Hours will be reduced to 12-20 hrs/wk during semesters when students are enrolled in classes.  

CAD experience (desired). Sophomore standing in engineering or architecture degree program at accredited school. Knowledge of or interest in building heating/cooling/electrical systems, construction and related trades would be beneficial.
