Job Description: The Walgreen Drama Center is home to the Department of Musical Theatre and the Department of Theatre & Drama. It is a bustling center of activities - holding not only classes, but performances, rehearsals, workshops, and events as well. The Walgreen Drama Center is offering a new service to support building operations during nights and weekends. We are looking for students to staff this new initiative in the Walgreen Main Office. The job description is as follows: 

  • Reference the daily schedule of activities happening in the studios and classrooms. Check in with studio occupants at the start of the shift, then provide after-hours support from the Walgreen Office desk. 
  • Manage classroom, studio, and booth keys to let occupants into the classrooms, studio spaces, and booths at their reserved time. 
  • Offer support for basic AV questions to turn on/off projectors, sound equipment, and lights. 
  • Check out tools from the Studio Manager Toolkit to the approved users. - Be on the lookout for misuse of studios, fire hazards, or other dangerous activities. - Give ice packs or first aid to those who need it. 
  • Fill out injury reports as needed.
  • Oversee lab spaces and piano key checkout through Cheqroom for the studio and classroom spaces. 
  • At the end of night, ensure equipment is turned off, occupants are respecting the studios, and the office is locked. 
  • May assist with other operations needs on a case by case basis based on availability.

Job Requirements
  • We are looking for students who are attentive, responsible, reliable, and willing to jump in and help with the variety of situations that arise in the Walgreen Drama Center. - Must have 6-12 hours of availability on a weekly basis, spread over nights and weekends. - Must be able to liaise with a variety of different users in the spaces utilizing great communication skills both to the room occupants and to the Studio and Performance Manager. 
  • Customer service experience is a plus, but not required. 
  • Technical theatre experience is a plus, but not required. 
  • Work study award is required at this time.

  • MON: 6-8PM 8-11PM 
  • TUES: 6-8PM 8-11PM 
  • WED: 6-8PM 8-11PM 
  • THURS: 6-8PM 8-11PM 
  • FRI: 6-8PM 8-11PM 
  • SAT: 10AM-1PM, 1-4PM, 4-8PM, 8-11PM 
  • SUN: 10AM-1PM, 1-4PM, 4-8PM, 8-11PM  

18 shifts total, each 2-3 hours long, split between 8 - 10 student workers.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
