Research Services Assistant. Special Collections Research Center Library. Working under the general supervision of the Research Services Librarian, the Research Services Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the day-to-day operations in the Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) that includes, but is not limited to: Greeting and registering researchers in the reading room Monitoring the use of collection material (rare books and documents) in the reading room Assisting with the fulfillment of duplication requests that entails scanning, editing, and electronic delivery of files Physically moving materials through the process by retrieving, preparing books and document boxes for inter building transit, and reshelving collection materials.
Other responsibilities may include: Providing, research, project, and other support (i.e., shelf reading)
