Job Description
The EECS Departmental Computing Organization (DCO) is looking for work study students to help with basic day-to-day office and IT support tasks. This role is a good fit for someone who is comfortable around computers and willing to learn. Responsibilities include helping keep the office running during the day, assisting with simple computer and device issues, and supporting staff, faculty, and students with general IT questions.

You may also help with routine tasks like filling out forms to send out old or unused equipment, organizing inventory, and handling basic troubleshooting for hardware and software. Additional duties include transporting equipment between offices and buildings, assisting with server hardware installations, and helping with software installation and setup.

DCO supports around 1,000 users, so you’ll gain experience working with different systems (Mac, Linux, Windows), printers, and other technology in a supportive environment. No advanced experience is required—just a willingness to learn and help others.  We are especially in need of someone during the summer months.

Hours will range from 20 during the school year and 40 during the summer.
Educational Value

Learn about hardware and software and develop teamwork skills.
