Job Description

Host UMMA private and rental events under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Work with the Facilities Manager to confirm details of the events, determine contact information and make sure the facility is ready to receive caterers, sound contractors, and companies providing rental equipment.  Will perform ALL set up for the event as required including but not limited to:  setting up UMMA sound equipment and speakers, projection screen, test video presentations, and arrange podium and microphone.

 

Keep a low profile during the event and be available to problem-solve or trouble-shoot non- security/safety issues.

 

At the end of the event, take down and put away any UMMA equipment. The host may leave the event after completion of these tasks. DPSS Security will see that catering companies, sound contractors, and rental companies leave the building.

 

In addition, the Event Host will work with the Facilities Manager to provide support in other related areas.  These will include:  facilities services, setup for Multipurpose Room and tours. Other duties as needed.  The Facilities Manager supervises the UMMA Event Host

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
