Job Description

Join Michigan Dining and work collaboratively behind the scenes as we lead, feed, and contribute to the education, health, and experience of our community, environment, and staff. The Nutrition Program Assistant will work closely with M|Dining Registered Dietitian on the menus and websites across all of campus, from residential to retail to catering.

 

Work self-directed on project-based work on campus-wide initiatives that impact all areas of dining; the Nutrition Program Assistant will maintain the accuracy of nutrition, ingredient and allergen information in the menu management database, create new recipes, contact manufacturers regarding nutrition and allergen information for new products, create educational materials, research nutrition-related topics, and audit nutrition information on software, menus, and University websites.

Job Requirements

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Knowledge of basic nutrition including essential nutrients, energy balance, and current trends and issues

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office products

  • Good Communication Skills, Self Directed

  • Able to work a minimum of 10 hours weekly

 

The desired qualifications for this position are:

  •  First Year Masters Level Student in Nutrition Public Health Program
