Job Description

The Center for Campus Involvement is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated student to join our team as a Program Lead. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about event planning, enjoys working with others, and is excited to contribute to campus life at the University of Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, design, and implement programs and events with an emphasis on University Union facilities
  • Develop a marketing plan for programs and events for the campus community
  • Attend weekly meetings and semesterly training in both small and large groups
  • Plan 3-5 events per semester 
  • Evaluate and improve upon previous programming efforts
  • Staff at least 2 other events per month
  • Support other large-scale programs (i.e. Welcome to Michigan programs, Haunted Pierpont, Finals Breakfast, and other office priorities/programs as needed).

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong Interest (or experience) in event management and execution.
  • Must be able to creatively engage the students
  • Ability to manage outreach with internal and external vendors, student organizations, and departments.
  • Capability in financial management and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative within their work
  • Must be on site for all aspects of the program

*Customer service or planning experience is a plus!

 

Hourly Rate $16.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 12.0 hours per week
