This position supports Michigan Engineering’s web accessibility efforts by testing, analyzing, and remediating academic, administrative, course, and research websites to ensure they meet campus requirements. Students will learn and apply best practices for digital accessibility and become proficient with technologies that help make digital content accessible. Students will work independently and collaboratively to identify and address accessibility issues in a variety of online technologies, such as WordPress websites, custom web applications, Canvas courses, and/or supplemental documentation. They will also analyze data from their testing and remediation efforts to provide insights on common issues and provide estimates for the time required to bring digital platforms up to accessibility standards. Work involving undergraduate course content may be limited to graduate students due to access requirements.
