This position supports the Michigan Engineering Instructional Technology team by testing, analyzing and remediating course websites to ensure they meet accessibility standards. Students will learn and apply best practices for digital accessibility and become proficient with technologies that help make digital content accessible. Students will work independently and collaboratively to identify and address accessibility issues in Canvas courses and supplemental documentation. They will also analyze data from their testing and remediation efforts to provide insights on common issues and provide estimates for the time required to bring future courses up to accessibility standards. 

We’re looking for students who: 

  • Understand the importance of digital accessibility

  • Have basic knowledge of accessibility standards or a willingness to learn

  • Are tech-savvy and quick to learn new technologies

  • Are adept at analyzing workloads and data to develop detailed reports

Educational Value
