The Dept of Anthropology Communications Assistant will support the Communications Coordinator in planning and implementing an array of department communications efforts. Work will involve website maintenance; writing/editorial support for website, newsletter, and social media; and general event and administrative support. The ideal candidate must possess strong writing skills; be able to manage time effectively and work independently while keeping on task; and be well-organized and detail-oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites expected, Canva and (ideally) Adobe suite preferred. Graphic design, photography, and/or videography skills are a plus, but not required. Flexible work hours, including the ability to work remotely on certain projects. Must be available to work 6-8 hours/week. In-person availability on Monday and/or Thursday preferred.
