Job Description

The Office of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education (ADUE) in the U-M College of Engineering seeks a graduate student to assist with several ADUE data management and analysis initiatives. Typical tasks will involve working with student and program information, to access, organize, and manipulate the data in order to prepare reports, dashboards, or statistical analyses. Work may be done in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, R, SPSS, Python, or other database and statistical tools. 

ADUE programs serve several thousand students each year through a variety of experiential, curricular, and co-curricular opportunities. We use dashboards to examine trends, identify gaps, and report on the impact of ADUE opportunities. We also conduct analyses of student survey data, enrollment data, and other project specific data.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should have strong skills in Tableau, Google Suite, and Excel, with a primary emphasis on Tableau expertise. Experience in building Tableau dashboards is a significant asset.

The main requirements include:

  • Proficiency in working with large datasets

  • Experience across multiple platforms (Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets,  etc.)

  • Data analysis skills, including descriptive statistics and statistical significance testing

  • Data visualization skills

Desired additional skills include experience with:

  • Wolverine Access and BusinessObjects

  • Programming languages and statistical software, such as Python, R, STATA, or SPSS

Hourly Rate $25.00/hour to $30.00/hour
