Job Description

The SEAS Department of Online Learning and Academic Innovation is seeking a Multimedia Content Designer to support its microlearning initiative and to assist in recording and editing content featuring SEAS faculty. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multimedia design and production within an educational setting, with a special focus on sustainability content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Multimedia:
    • Editing videos and audio content, Developing online learning clips, Creating a microlearning platform, Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop multimedia content. 
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and deadlines, ensuring that all multimedia content is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
  • Sustainability Knowledge:
    • Apply knowledge of sustainability practices and principles to content development, ensuring relevance and alignment with SEAS values.
Educational Value

The selected candidate will develop or strengthen the following skills and content areas:

  • Use of multimedia editing software 
  • Management of deliverables and project deadlines
  • Educational technology
  • Online media platform management
Job Requirements
  • Knowledge in environment and sustainability
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in video and audio production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audacity) is a plus. We will be also using Opus Clip for this project.
  • Experience with YouTube.
  • Experience with web design and development tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Hourly Rate $20.00/hour
Hours 10.0 hours per week
