Job description: The position works under the supervision of the Engaged Learning Project Manager. The position is a minimum of 20 hours a week during the academic school year, and a maximum of 40 hours a week during the summer, with the understanding that the number of hours per week are flexible. Position duties include, but are not limited to: I. Project Management A. Website, Social Media & Marketing 1. Assist with the maintenance of the Engaged Michigan website and materials under the supervision of the Engaged Learning Project Manager. 2. Assist with any troubleshooting issues related to the websites. 3. Update and edit website content, posts, and pages. 4. Create and experiment with: a) New website features. b) Provide analytic updates to social media platforms . c) Contribute to the creation of new educational resources related to engaged learning, such as guides, FAQs, slide decks, catalogs/databases, etc. 5. Manage Twitter/X account 6. Support development of the Detroit Census Map B. Develop and Support Campus Groups 1. Assist with strategies and ideas that help to strengthen partnerships across the campus community and Detroit. 2. Assist with email communications, meeting scheduling, taking and sharing notes, and other project related needs. 3. Other duties, as needs/projects emerge C. Metrics & Data Validation 1. Help validate and curate datasets related to the position, including self-reported student data and engaged learning experiences and opportunities data. 2. This may include connecting with offices that facilitate such experiences, organizing student focus groups, and helping pool related data collected by academic and co-curricular units. 3. Help with creating end of the year report II. Admin Support & Event Planning A. Scheduling meetings, taking and sharing notes, etc. B. Help plan related events, workshops, and/or meetings. C. Memorandum of Understanding assembly (MOUs) III. Other duties as assigned |
