Job Description

Reference assistants will provide reference, research, and information services to patrons of the Stephen S. Clark Library for Maps, Government Information, and Data. The Clark Library serves a broad range of faculty, staff, students, and community members from varied disciplines and offers an exceptional learning opportunity in a unique environment. Reference assistants will staff the library's reference desk and must have a desire and interest in learning about the subject areas covered within the Clark Library. 

Educational Value

The position offers an opportunity to learn applicable research skills and work with special and world-class collections. This position may also include opportunities to work with web and print content creation, blogging, research guide creation and maintenance, cataloging and metadata creation, digitizing maps, and other duties. I am looking for someone for Fall/Winter Semesters.

Job Requirements

Experience in libraries or public service, excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, attention to detail, interest in learning about research libraries and subjects related to the Clark Library.

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, & Excel are desired but not required
