We seek a talented and passionate student intern committed to sustainability to serve as our Community Coordinator, an important member of the institute’s strategic marketing and communications team.  

The Community Coordinator will publish content across social media platforms and nurture the online communities we serve. You will work with the marketing and communications team to produce high-quality content aligned with overarching strategy in a timely fashion.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Social content publishing: Post original and shared content across the institute’s social media properties.
  • Project management: Maintain a social content calendar and scheduling tool (Buffer) to ensure consistent posting at regular intervals. Coordinate social content with all of the institute’s marketing and communications efforts.
  • Social media data analysis: Analyze and report social media data and make recommendations to the institute’s Strategic Communications Manager.
  • Team support: Help with special event coverage and/or special projects as needed.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to sustainability
  • Formal training in social media (e.g., job experience or coursework in the School of Information)

  • Able to work independently and use sound judgment to make quick but informed decisions

Able to produce content quickly and work within tight deadlines
 

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour to $17.00/hour
Hours 4.0 to 6.0 hours per week
