Job Description |
Social Media Associate The School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) seeks a dynamic and creative Social Media Associate to join our communications team. This role will work closely with the Social Media Manager to develop and execute social media campaigns that highlight cutting-edge research and student experiences.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to design, implement, and monitor social media campaigns to advance environmental research and SEAS initiatives. Create, curate, and repost content across social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Lead the creation and posting of weekly Instagram story content, ensuring it is aligned with SEAS's branding and messaging. Utilize video editing skills to produce engaging Instagram Reels and other video content. Provide coverage for miscellaneous SEAS events, creating real-time social media content to drive engagement and highlight key moments. Serve as a liaison between the SEAS student body and communications team, ensuring student voices and perspectives are represented in social media content.

Job Requirements |
Required Qualifications: Must be a current graduate student in the School for Environment and Sustainability Ability to commit to 10 hours per week with a consistent weekly schedule. Proficiency in social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn. Organize and coordinate multiple tasks with close attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple team members (Social Media Manager, Graphic Designer, Communications Specialist, and Project Manager) Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing Experience in producing Instagram Reels and basic video editing. Familiarity with Canva and/or other editing software is a plus but not required.
