Job Description

Students will collaborate with the LSA Technology Services Sight and Sound Operations. Using screen capture software such as Camtasia Studio, and Adobe Packages (Premiere, After Effects, and others). The students will do basic editing videos for a specific department, preparing and delivering them to the requestors. The student will also help in the organization of equipment for the video recording team and some administrative tasks such as responding to requests tickets and emails

Educational Value

Student Employees gain valuable technology skills, hone exceptional customer service skills and learn to work independently as well as in teams, and gain better understanding of video production. Students will gain leadership skills, critical and analytical thinking and the ability to work with a diverse clientele. Students will also gain valuable hands-on experience working in a media production environment.

Job Requirements

Student employees must be reliable, enthusiastic, possess a willingness to learn and help, and have excellent communication skills. They should have both strong computer skills and the ability for thoughtful consideration of time sensitive project completion. 

The student employee will need to have a basic understanding of editing videos using Adobe packages primarily and other video editing software. 

 

Students with prior work experience with or familiarity with cameras, computers, audio/video editing programs and other A/V equipment, are especially encouraged to apply. Training will be available to bring new employees up to speed.

Applicants should be able to carry  50lbs of equipment. Work-study is strongly preferred for Mornings shift. First and Second years are encouraged to apply.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
