Job Description

Exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to build research and teaching skills!

MYHealth is an NIH-funded research study and research training program for high school students that takes place 100% online. MYHealth students learn about research through lectures and interactive activities that are developed and led by program facilitators - primarily undergraduate students. Facilitators receive ongoing training and mentorship from the MYHealth faculty and staff in research methods, facilitation, lesson planning, and more. The MYHealth team is seeking up to 10 motivated undergraduate students interested in working with high school students to join our team for a compensated position as a MYHealth facilitator. Facilitators will assist with data collection and analysis, dissemination of findings, and develop and delivering program instructional materials in online meetings. Multiple ~10 hour per-week positions are available for a 12-month commitment.

Educational Value

 MYHealth Program Facilitators will have the opportunity to:

Work in an interdisciplinary research team and master the foundations of research methods and ethics

Build confidence leading engaging and interactive online activities including oral presentations, small group facilitation, discussions, and peer and near-peer mentoring

Practice developing activities using online tools such as Google Suite, Canva, Padlet, Kahoot, and more

Assist with data collection, analysis, dissemination of findings for an NIH-funded study (can include conference abstract and journal article writing, contributions to data analysis, conference presentations, and more!)

Job Requirements

Ability to attend online training meetings 2-3x per week in June and July and to attend Summer Launch (July 28-August 8, 2025, from 11:45am - 5:15pm daily) in its entirety

Demonstrated time management skills, ability to work well under time constraints, and meet deadlines

Experience and/or interest in serving diverse populations, including high school aged youth

Excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and organization skills

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner

Ability to follow institutional and study protocols
