Job Description

Join our team to work on a groundbreaking zoom lens prototype. This project features a cutting- edge design that eliminates the complexity of traditional zoom lenses. You’ll use Zemax to model and refine this system, collaborating with our engineers who will mentor you while you take charge of your piece of the puzzle. Perfect for a self-motivated maker ready to dive into innovative optics and learn from pros on a real-world project. Location and Work Arrangement: Remote work with flexible hours—work on your own schedule, including evenings and weekends. On-campus meetings available to fit your class schedule. Occasional visits to our lab at 4330 Varsity Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48108, for integration work on the prototype.
Educational Value

Students will receive guidance, direction, and exposure to product development. They will receive hands-on mentorship while taking ownership of their project, driving innovation in groundbreaking products.
Job Requirements

Zemax (required) Optics knowledge MATLAB or Python (preferred)
Hours 15.0 to 20.0 hours per week
Compensation $15.00/hour to $25.00/hour
