Communications Fellow
Summer 2025 Student Fellowship Program

Location: 317 Maynard Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (75% in-person fellowship experience)

Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr

Job Duration: Up to 40 hours per week during Summer, with the possibility to extend into Fall.

Who we’re looking for:
The Marketing and Market Strategy team is looking for a student fellow who can identify and create high-quality, relevant, and engaging content for the Center for Academic Innovation’s internal and external communities across brands, including the center, Michigan Online, and Online Teaching. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Writing news stories 

  • Write learner stories

  • Write emails to targeted learners 

  • Copywriting for course fliers and web pages

Job Requirements

Student Qualifications:

  • Current U-M Student

  • Understanding of marketing fundamentals

  • Familiarity with AP Style

  • Familiarity with marketing writing, e.g., for web, social media, or other channels 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment
Hourly Rate $17.00/hour to $23.00/hour
Hours 20.0 to 29.0 hours per week
Time Frame Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer
Start Date Monday, May 5, 2025
End Date At the end of the spring/summer term, with possibility of a fellowship extension
