Job Description

The Student Socials Content Creator/Photographer will provide media support for programs and events offered on the Ann Arbor campus as identified by Campus Information Centers (CIC) and socials posting on Instagram/X for UU and affiliated programs.The Student Socials Content Creator/Photographer will be responsible for: 

  • Capturing photos and videos at various scheduled events and capturing organic content throughout the spring/summer term
  • Creating engaging social media content, including graphics for various platforms
  • Collaborating with CIC marketing staff to create and execute content for social media
  • Writing content including alt text (accessibility language) and blog-style content
  • Attending weekly check-in meetings with supervisor and receiving ongoing training
  • Executing other collaborative duties as assigned

Work may continue into fall/winter terms and will be negotiated.

Job Requirements
  • Ability to communication effectively and empathetically with diverse audiences

  • Passion for integrating DEI practices and values into work

  • Experience with social media platforms (X and Instagram)

  • Experience with photography/videography

  • Interest in marketing, communications, and/or media career path preferred
