Job Description

The Center for Global and Intercultural Study is looking for a CGIS program alum to represent CGIS study abroad and international internship programs at Go Blue Orientation via Resource Fairs throughout the summer. There are two types of Resource Fairs held throughout the summer for new students–one is organized by Newnan Advising for LSA students, and the other is organized by the Office of New Student Programs for all UM-Ann Arbor undergraduate students. Resource Fairs begin on Tuesday, July 7 and end on Saturday, August 29.

The selected applicant will be required to attend the majority of sessions below; all taking place on campus. Sessions will take place from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm (Newnan), and 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm (ONSP) with an expected work schedule of 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm to allow for set up and take down of materials. During the Resource Fair, the selected candidate will distribute CGIS promotional materials, answer general questions regarding CGIS study abroad and international internship programing, and refer students and parents to the CGIS office for detailed consultation and questions. Each day, you can expect hundreds of new students and their family members to visit and engage with our table.
