Job Description	The Production Assistant is responsible for assisting with the streaming and recording of SMTD large ensembles and other performances as requested. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Setting up and tearing down livestream equipment in various venues Operating video, audio, and broadcast equipment Troubleshooting equipment as needed The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a live performance environment. Approximately 7.5 hours per week (hours may vary depending on the number of requested events) Shifts are consistent during fall and winter terms Shifts pick up considerably towards the end of winter term (March - April) Shifts slow down considerably during the summer Shifts are flexible and based on your personal availability and interest in working
Educational Value	Students in this position will: Gain hands-on experience with professional production equipment Learn how to collaboratively plan and execute high-quality live streams Improve communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced production setting Develop an appreciation for a wide variety of musical genres and performance environments
Job Requirements	Ability to push an A/V cart Basic knowledge of A/V equipment is helpful but not required Availability to work on-site during evenings and weekends
Hourly Rate	$18.00/hour
Hours	7.5 hours per week
