Position Summary The LHM Student Coordinator will lead the planning and coordination of Latine Heritage Month, a campus-wide celebration involving a series of dynamic events that highlight the richness of Latine culture, identities, and experiences. This position is both administrative and collaborative, involving event logistics, leadership, committee coordination, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the coordination of all aspects of LHM programming and logistics. Help recruit students, staff, faculty, and community members to join the LHM planning committee (including identifying a student graphic designer). Help schedule and reserve space for committee meetings, beginning in early July. Lead planning committee meetings, including: Assist with the setup, implementation, and cleanup of LHM events and programs. Collaborate on outreach and marketing efforts: Identify event-related purchases in collaboration with the MESA Program Manager, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines. Serve as a liaison between the MESA Program Manager and sub-committee chairs to ensure timely progress and smooth coordination. Assist with other duties as assigned by MESA Program Manager.
