Job Description |
The Student Organization team within the Center for Campus Involvement is seeking to hire 2-3 graduate interns for the 25-26 academic year. The student organization team within CCI supports the administrative management and education of over 1,700 student organizations in addition to broader ongoing involvement initiatives, including Winterfest and Festifall. The team is made up of professional staff, graduate interns, and undergraduate employees. The graduate interns can expect to: Collaborate with other student employees to develop educational content and coordinate programming for student leaders and organizations. Assist with the management of organizational administrative processes (e.g., new organization application review, etc.). Supervise 1-3 student employees involved in leadership consulting, workshop facilitation, student organization-focused programming and space management. Develop marketing, communication materials, and resources in alignment with CCI events and education efforts. Attend meetings and events related to position. Provide support to general office operations, administration, and programs in related area. Attend CCI Staff meetings (as schedule allows). Serve as a resource for student organizations and/or student leaders. Participate in departmental committees and various staff development opportunities. Collaborate and connect with our department and other campus departments. Expected Start/End Dates: August 11, 2025 - April 21, 2026 (With the option to work over the summer/spring terms if discussed with supervisor)

Through meaningful involvement, CCI creates transformative experiences, a vibrant community, and lifelong memories for University of Michigan students. CCI recognizes and supports over 1,700 student organizations through education, advising, advocacy and services. CCI also implements hundreds of social, educational, cultural, and recreational programs each year, focused on building community within and beyond University Unions’ facilities. |

Job Requirements |
Cover letter must be submitted with resume in one document. Candidates must be current or prospective grad students to apply. Candidates must be committed to working with students and have an appreciation for the college student development process. Candidates must have an understanding and commitment to working across differences. Candidates must be able to interact and work effectively with students and staff. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. It is preferred that candidates will possess experience in college student life, either as a student leader or professional, and have good leadership and management skills. Experience in volunteer service is also desirable. Successful candidates will be organized, resourceful, creative, self-motivated, flexible, responsible, reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to engage with multiple types of audiences.
