Job Description

Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) is seeking two creative and motivated graduate students to serve as our marketing and community engagement intern and accountability intern. FSL is a dynamic community made up of four unique councils: Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Panhellenic Association (Panhel) and more than 50 fraternities and sororities. 

Marketing and community engagement role includes:

  • Collaborating with FSL staff to design a comprehensive marketing plan for the department and its individual governing councils.
  • Supporting the creation, scheduling, and management of social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Planning and executing cross-council programming and events that foster connections between the four governing councils of fraternity and sorority life.
  • Facilitating engagement events aimed at connecting unaffiliated students with information about the FSL community.

Accountability role includes:

  • Co-advising Greek Activities Review Panel (GARP)
  • Co-advising Social Responsibility Committee (SRC)
  • Assisting with the development and facilitation of educational programs as they relate to organizational accountability outcomes 
  • Serving as staff member on duty for Social Responsibility Committee
  • Developing assessment for GARP and SRC training
Educational Value

This position will enhance skills for students interested in higher education.  It will provide opportunities to:

  • Work with students at a large public flagship university
  • Challenge and support individual students and student groups
  • Interact with higher education professional staff along with internal and external stakeholders of our unit
Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Graduate student
  • Ability to work in person with some flexibility for some remote work
  • Ability to work nights and weekends if programmatic events require
Hourly Rate $18.00/hour to $19.25/hour
Hours 15.0 to 20.0 hours per week
