Job Description

Digital Content Creator

The Edward Ginsberg Center seeks an experienced student to produce and coordinate digital marketing and social media content for the Center. The Student support the Center’s professional staff by developing compelling, timely, and engaging content that promotes our events/programs, highlights our impacts, and strengthens our brand across campus and beyond. Students with a background or interest in communications, marketing, business, information, design, and/or journalism are strongly encouraged to apply. 

 

Job Duties include: 
  • Regularly communicate with Ginsberg Center’s professional staff to gather content, insights, and updates on ongoing initiatives
  • Assist in the strategy and planning of Center-wide marketing campaigns
  • Develop engaging marketing content to promote community engagement opportunities and celebrate the work of Ginsberg Center
  • Utilize project management tools to coordinate the scheduling of content across platforms (ex: social, web, newsletters) and to coordinate the completion of marketing projects.
  • Develop and schedule 1-2 social media posts/ stories per week across Instagram and Facebook platforms that align with the Ginsberg Center’s branding;
  • Monitor and engage with our digital/ social media audience to foster a sense of community and responsiveness.
  • Draft and schedule up to 4 newsletter editions per month, in collaboration with professional staff
  • Website updates and maintenance
  • Coordinate with professional staff and student marketing team to implement Ginsberg Center’s existing graphic style & identity, as established in our Brand Book and Style Guide.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience drafting short and long-form digital content; examples of previous work are a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with social media and Meta platforms, particularly Instagram and Facebook, and best practices for content creation and engagement.
  • Experience with scheduling & calendar management, website content management systems, and/or project management tools (ex: Asana)
  • Excellent communication skills including strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work quickly in a deadline-oriented environment 
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to: accomplish multiple tasks autonomously, complete tasks by deadline, and develop clear project plans 
  • Ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback to develop final products
