Job Description and Responsibilities: The Department of Musical Theatre is looking for a passionate individual to fulfill the role of Social Media Manager for @umichmusicaltheatre on Instagram. In this position, you'll be at the forefront of the department’s online presence, engaging with the community and sharing the vibrancy of the Musical Theatre program at U-M. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating captivating student and alumni takeovers, amplifying their voices and experiences on Instagram. Curating compelling content featuring alumni, faculty, and student achievements and updates. Designing engaging images and banners to post on Instagram Liaising between prospective and current students, fostering connections and offering guidance through Instagram DMs in consultation with the Chair of Musical Theatre and/or a designated faculty member. Championing application and admissions efforts by crafting persuasive posts and addressing inquiries from prospective students in consultation with the Chair of Musical Theatre and/or a designated faculty member.. Cultivating lively interactions within the University of Michigan community online, boosting engagement and expanding reach.
