The Center for Entrepreneurship is working in cooperation with the Urban Entrepreneurship Initiative, an independent 501(c)(3) organization, to facilitate entrepreneurial innovation that improves the quality of life in urban communities. The focus of CFE’s work in this area is to identify and document novel urban-focused businesses, business cases and business models, to develop instructional materials that prepare students and professionals to be effective on urban-focused projects, and to develop metrics and data analytic approaches to identifying urban community needs and business opportunities. Responsibilities: Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Develop content for Urban Innovator Platform web site, including business profiles, business proposals, and problem statements. Propose business model and business case presentation formats and enhancements Identify novel and/or especially effective urban-focused businesses that address defined community vitality categories. Identify and document entrepreneur resource organizations for inclusion on the platform. Develop and propose data analytic and AI-enabled approaches to summarize information collected on the platform. Conduct and coordinate interviews with subject company principals. Coordinate business model and business case documentation for subject companies. Give feedback on UEI business model and growth strategies. Identify organizations, articles, books, publications, blogs, and other information sources related to urban-focused entrepreneurship. Identify notable academic, corporate and public sector projects aimed at urban quality of life enhancement. Work with UEI volunteers and staff and U-M research associates and assistants as required to achieve project objectives.
