Dr. Robert Knoerl (University of Michigan School of Nursing) is looking for a paid, part-time research assistant to work on a new study entitled, “Determining the Feasibility of Virtual, Tailored, Music-Based Relaxation for Anxiety in Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors.” The purpose of the study is to determine the feasibility of conducting an eight weeks, theory driven, virtually delivered, tailored music-based relaxation intervention to decrease anxiety in adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. In addition, there are opportunities to work on additional research studies surrounding acupressure for cancer-related fatigue and an educational intervention to increase oncology clinicians' use of evidence-based chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy interventions. Role and Responsibilities: Research assistants will be responsible for: 1. Screening and recruitment (e.g., informed consent via telephone) of potentially eligible participants 2. Administering patient-reported outcome surveys 3. Interacting with study participants (e.g., fidelity checks, control group delivery, interviews) 4. Database management 5. Processing IRB and regulatory paperwork |
