About the Position: Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) is seeking a Front Desk Student Assistant(s) to support the daily operations of the SSD office by providing front-line administrative support. This role supplements the work of the administrative staff and is essential to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for students, staff, and visitors. SSD is a department within the Student Life Unit - Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services (SAAS). Core Responsibilities: Greet guests and direct them to the appropriate staff or resources Answer phone calls and take messages as needed Assist with scheduling student appointments Respond to basic inquiries about SSD services and procedures Assist with clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning, and document preparation Maintain a clean and organized front desk area Support special projects and events as assigned
About Services for Students with Disabilities and Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services: Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services (SAAS) is a student-centered unit within the Division of Student Life whose work is guided by best-practice standards and interventions utilizing a multidimensional model of student well-being. SAAS oversees three key resources; Services for Students with Disabilities, the Adaptive Sports and Fitness program, & Testing Accommodation Centers (TAC), and is committed to providing support services, advocacy and academic accommodations to students with disabilities.
