Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist the Research Director and study teams within the Division of Colorectal Surgery. This role involves a range of research-related responsibilities, including supporting the preparation of IRB applications, screening patients for eligibility using the MiChart electronic medical record system, recruiting participants virtually by phone, and ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.

The candidate will deepen their understanding of medical terminology, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process, data collection methods, and data entry practices. Job Requirements

Applicants should have completed a minimum of three years of college coursework and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the medical field. Those planning to take a gap year prior to medical school are especially encouraged to apply, and such applications will be given priority.  Prior experience in research or in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently under the supervision of the Research Director, and able to interact professionally with patients, providers, and support staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, and availability during clinic business hours is essential (8 am - 5 pm).

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour to $20.00/hour
