Summary: The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (OVPUE) at the University of Michigan partners with units across campus to promote student success and well-being, both inside and outside the classroom, by fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment. OVPUE is looking to hire two (2) Student Success Interns to collaborate on a range of projects related to the campus-wide Student Success Initiative. Sample projects include student engagement planning, web development and maintenance, multimedia design, and event planning. Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills while working on projects to transform the U-M student experience. Student Success Interns will report to the Assistant Vice Provost for Advising Strategy and Student Success and OVPUE’s Administrative Partner. Interns will regularly meet with the OVPUE team. Key Responsibilities: - Complete between 5 and 8 hours of work each week with a hybrid work schedule. Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays are encouraged in-person days
- Develop a student engagement plan that incorporates existing campus-wide and school/college-specific student government leaders
- Assist with web development and ongoing maintenance of two websites [WordPress]
- Create multimedia design graphics and assist with the production of Student Success Network's monthly newsletters
- Assist with event coordination and on-site assistance as schedules allow.
- Assist Advising Fellows with projects focused on advising communications, evaluation of advising services, and advisor training & development
- Participate in professional development opportunities to build your time management, communication, critical thinking, project management, and professional skills
