Job Description

Social Media Video Assistant

 

The social media video assistant will work closely with the Michigan Ross Marketing & Communications team to support and enhance our digital branding efforts. This person will assist with creating social media videos, including developing YouTube and Instagram video plans and content.

Job Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities: 

70% - Content Creation

 

  • Create videos for the Michigan Ross social media channels to support the overall marketing goals of the school

  • Develop videos for multiple social platforms according to social media platform best practices 

  • Attend and film various special events

30% - Planning & Analysis

  • Brainstorm fun new ways to creatively engage the Ross community on social media via video content

  • Assist in developing a content calendar for social media posts

  • Help to analyze the success of social media videos in order to monitor and build community and engagement

 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong video shooting and editing skills, dependable, creative thinker, friendly and curious, good judgment, articulate, and professional

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of videos on social media sites, especially: Instagram & YouTube

  • Video editing software experience: Adobe Creative Cloud preferred 

  • Graphic design knowledge and experience 

  • Ability to set and manage priorities, handle multiple assignments, and deadlines

Hourly Rate $18.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
